The P3400 safety switch from SITEC GmbH is an advanced safety system that offers maximum protection for people and assets. This innovative system combines personal customer contact with first-class security standards.
An invisibly integrated protective element, optionally made of BR4-NS PC armoured glass or a robust steel panel to FB4, can be activated by various triggers such as a pushbutton or foot switch. The protective element rises in a fraction of a second and offers optimum protection for checkout staff.
Safety concept for the P3400 safety switch
The P3400 safety switch from SITEC GmbH is integrated into an on-site counter and fulfils the highest safety standards in accordance with DGUV Rule 115-004.
- Installation requirements: The worktop must protrude at least 500 mm into the customer and checkout area in order to prevent reaching into the travelling range of the safety element.
- Safety mechanisms: The force is limited to 150 N on the last 100 mm of the travelling range to prevent serious injuries.
- Protective element function: When the switch is open, the flap of the protective element forms a flat surface with the counter/worktop. When the safety element is triggered and raised, the flap also moves upwards and is movable to minimise the risk of injury.

- Emergency operation in the event of a power failure: Thanks to the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and a compressed air reserve, the security switch still enables 1-2 emergency closures of the protective element in an emergency.
